      Obsession. . .in Action

Example HR

Whether it's scribbling soap opera storylines in a spiral notebook at the age of ten, crafting ways to integrate my favorite TV shows into English papers in front of a computer in my dorm room, or enthusastically expounding upon Harvard arts groups in yet another article, press release, or website, I've always loved to write.  You could call it . . .an obsession.

My Obsessions

Obsession in Education

One day, as an undergraduate English major, I had a revelation.  You might even call it an epiphany.   I realized that I could combine my paper-writing burden with my love of TV.  Especially The X-Files.  And occasionally Buffy.  And when it got to be my senior year, I decided to write a thesis.  When there's no American Studies department, sometimes you've got to make one for yourself.

Obsession in Employment

Who knew those book report skills from fourth grade would come in handy?  Writing coverage of screenplays for Hollywood agents and summarizing classics of literature cliff notes-style for slacker students haven't proven to be all that different from those retellings of the Sweet Valley Twins' latest adventure I used to hand in to Mr. Hastings back in Room 11.  Oh, and I've written a bunch of articles about the arts at Harvard, too.

Obsession in Observation

Thoughts, ramblings, rantings, and whinings.  And musings, definitely musings.  I've been told I'm opinionated (by those who put it politely, that is).  And in my opinion, if you've got some thoughts about life or America or blue M&Ms to share with the world, why keep your mouth shut?  Clearly, I can't.
