With the formation of Duran Duran, we were given guitarist John Taylor. With his good looks and talent, we evolved with John, and as with all the members, fans chose their 'favorite' member. From Guitar to the Silver Screen...
With his exit from Duran Duran after The Wedding Album, John Taylor's face was quite missed during the video 'Electric Barbarella.' I had seemed to follow his career, as I did the others, and to see him exit was sad. Since then, John has ventured into acting with his appearance in the film 'Sugar Town,' directed by Allison Anders. He has also released his solo efforts and spends his time being a father and husband.
On the Behind the Music (VH-1), John discussed overcoming his drug problem as well, very candidly, and for that we all appreciate his courage, strength, and his incomprable talents. And, I must mention...John, I LOVE the hair on the Behind the Music! Looks great!
The Duran Duran Days...
While with Duran Duran, John Taylor was a major force behind the music, via writing and performing. Behind his belt as well is his project, The Power Station, who topped the charts while on break from Duran Duran. His friendships with the rest of the band seemed almost irreversible, and, without quoting, I can say that Simon, on the Behind the Music, said that he did miss John and would have him back any day. They also reconnected around Christmastime, according to the US Weekly Magazine, featuring Simon inside. With that said, John talents will flourish, I am sure, but it's refreshing to see that someday John can return. For now, John's enjoying time with his band, Terroristen.
