Coach Kurt York is in his 20th year of teaching Technology in grades 6th through 12th. He enjoys the teaching profession very much and finds it very satisfying. He loves watching students/players progress and grow to become successful adults. It's a job he finds very rewarding each and every day. Out of his 20 years, he's had perfect attendance for 19 of them. That tells you about his dedication to his job and students. Mr. York was nominated and honored for the "Who's Who Among America's Teachers" in 1994 and again in 1999. He was also inducted into the National Honor Society as their Honorary Member this past fall.

This will be Coach York's 20th year also coaching High School baseball. Another job he finds extremely rewarding, even though it's more of a hobby than a job. "It's great to be able to coach a sport you love. To work with players as they develop their skills through hard work and dedication." One of the coach's favorite sayings that can be heard on the diamond is......... "It takes no talent to hustle". A philosophy he hopes his players learn to utilize in all aspects of their life and also carry it long into adulthood.

Coach York is extremely excited about the 2001 baseball season.  He has a wonderful and hard working group of players, not to mention a wealth of talent in which to pick from.   If the preseason is any indication this team should have some great team chemistry for the 2001 season.
