JC: How you doing?

AJ: I'm doing just peachy, man, how you doin'?

JC: Doin' great man, this is so cool to be here with you. We figured for this interview we'd do something a little bit different. Kind of an MTV FANatic type deal. We have Bianca, she's one of the listeners with us. She's just a huge fan. This is like, her tenth time seeing you guys in concert. So what I'm going to do is just turn the interview over to her and she's gonna go ahead and ask the questions. So here's Bianca.

Bianca: Well. Hello. Thank you for doing this with me. I appreciate it. I'll try to not flub over my words too much. Um. Um. If you guys were all on the weakest link, the five of you, who do you think would get voted off first?

AJ: Voted off first? I hate that show! That woman drives me nuts! She's mean! No, if .. the first one to go, based on her opinion, I would say, probably Nick. Cuz she'd probably get aggravated with him because he's young and his attention span is not that great. He means well, he's a great kid. But, ya know, I think she'd probably kick him off first. Him or Kevin, cuz Kevin would try to battle and be stubborn. Ya know, me and Howie and Brian would sit back and be like, "ok. what the heck? So what?" Ya know, if we get kicked off, then we'd get kicked off. We'd have more of a fun vibe. Those two would take it seriously.

Bianca: Um. What CD's in your CD player right now? Like, what have you been listening to lately?

AJ: Um. Anastacia, a lot of Nikka Costa. Um.. been doing a lot of Nine Inch Nails now. Just went out and bought the new Dave Matthews Band CD. Um a lot of house and techno stuff. Cuz I'm getting ready to put out a house album, hopefully. I'm in the works, I'm doing that now. I'm just doing that. I'm going to get some turntables out here and start learning how to do that and start doing something different. Ya know, doing something to bide my time.

Bianca: Are you guys going to do, like, that double CD you had planned for this.. there was talk, I believe, about doing a double CD.

AJ: Um. We're gonna do one more regular album. And then, uh, you probably won't see us for a while. We're probably gonna go away for a year, maybe two years. Do something. Maybe do some individual stuff. I know I've been working on some Johnny NoName stuff. Ya know. We would do it. But I think it would be more of a greatest hits album. Because we're really trying to put together, like, a double CD of unreleased, unmastered material that we did as demos to get our record deal back in '93, which is some really whack stuff.

JC: Is this something? Do you get a lot of this where the fans get to interview, or the MTV FANatic type thing? Is it something different for you guys?

AJ: We haven't been able to really... well, we haven't had any, like, fans be able to kinda do any kinda radio interviews with us or anything recently. But this is one of the things that we love to do. Like, we always try to have, instead of like having a press conference, we always have, like, fan conferences. It's just more fun for us to get questions asked by our fans because that's more personable. You get the same questions, usually, asked from all the reporters. They're like, "How'd you guys get together?" Well. Duh. If you don't know by now, then you're just retarded. But, fans, I mean, just like she did, fans have a lot of really good questions that sometimes even stump us, where we're like, "woah, I dunno."

JC: We just got the signal that we gotta wrap things up. So any closing words, Bianca?

Bianca: Thank you so much. I really appreciate this [can hear him saying, "you're welcome"]. I've been a fan for like, 5 years now. And like he said, this is my tenth concert tonight and I'm going to see you guys in Lexington next week.

AJ: Have you seen this show yet?

Bianca: The second leg, no. But I saw four of the first leg.

AJ: Well, this ones.. different.

Bianca: I heard. I heard..

AJ: It's almost completely different. We've added songs. We've changed outfits. We have a brand new video that's actually, you'll see, it's really funny. It's us in the year 2055 so it's really quite interesting to see how... And hopefully we won't look as bad as we look in the video when we're 85. I don't wanna look that bad.

JC: AJ from the Backstreet Boys. Thanks so very much.

AJ: You're very welcome.
