The time is now! At the height of the reign of generation Y. A pitfall and lack of creativity in music since the early avineties has rousted the youth of America to find some way to express itself. Revival scenes are cheap and the indy/emo-corps scene is full of shitty music and snotty rich white kids from suburbia or as we at Yuppy Skum affectionately call it, HELLBURBIA. Its about time that kids (musicians more rightfully) start being more original. I know as well as my comrads that there are many teens all over the world that listen to the art rock, goth, blues, new wave, hardcore. alternative bands of yore and wish things were exiting as ther once were. I know many people who are not willing to buy into the poptrends being shoved down the tourhs thoats by fat men over 50 that are hip to MTV. Not even Kurt Kobain is falling for that one anymore. Why shoudl we? Yuppy Skum is more than a scene. Its a rebellion. Not a Volcom fake ass cotton rebellion. A real revolution. one that out predecessors would look at and be wiulling to pass the torch down to and say "Generation Y wasn't such a waste."
