Pokemon, I Choose You!
        After you give your name, you'll be in your room. Go down and talk to your mother. You'll get a Pokegear and you'll need to set the week of the day. After that, go out your house and go in Elm's Lab.  After you talked to Prof. Elm, choose your pokemon which is all the three are Level 5: Cyndaquil (fire), Totodile (water) and Chikorita (grass). Then, walk out. A man will give you a potion. Go right into a route. Keep walking until you reached the entrance of Cherrygrove City. You'll see an old man there. Talk to him and say 'YES' to his question. After you've traveled the city with him, go to his house and talk to him to get a Map Card. You can now see the map of Johto by your Pokegear. You can go to Pokemon Center or Pokemon Mart anytime. Walk straight to the route 30 at the north of the city. Go up, walk into the first house you met and talk to the man to get a berry. Go out and take the passage on the right. Go to the most top to go to Mr. Pokemon's house. Mr. Pokemon will give you a mystery egg and Prof. Oak will give you a pokedex. Go out of the house and Prof. Elm will phone to you telling you something serious was happened.

The Evil Rival
        Now, go back to the entrance of Cherrygrove City. Someone will bump into you and fight you. Beat him and go to Prof. Elm's lab in New Bark Town. You'll know that the man you fought at the entrance of Cherrygove City had stolen one of the pokemon of Prof. Elm. You'll name him. Then, go out at this time the man that gave you potion last time will give you five Pokeballs to catch pokemon. Go to the route on the right of the town and a man will give you a brief explanation on how to catch pokemon. Then, make all your way back to route 30. And this time instead of taking the passage on the right, go to the left passage. Go through route 30 and route 31 until you reached Violet City.

Sprout Tower Of Violet
        Go to the north of the city to Sprout Tower. Go up the tower and fight all the sages until you reached the top floor. After beating some sages there, you'll meet your rival. He beat the elder sage. Now, it's your turn to fight with the elder sage. Won the battle so you'll get HM Flash. Take the escape rope on the right and use it to leave the tower immediately. If you're a beginner, you can learn about pokemon at the school in Violet City. Next, you're going to fight your first gym! Go inside the gym and defeat all the gym members. The first gym leader you'll meet is called Falkner which uses bird pokemon. Electric or rock type attacks will be good to faint his birds. Win the battle and you'll get a Zephyrbadge and a TM called Mud-Slap. Next go to the west of the city until you found a route at the south of the city. It is Route 32. Go down and down and beat all the trainers until you see a pokemon center. Inside the Pokemon Center, talk to a man that looks like a fisherman to get an old rod. Heal your pokemon and go into Union Cave located just under the Pokemon Center. Go through the cave and you'll come out at Route 33.

Rescue Of The Slowpokes
        Now follow the route to Azalea Town. At the entrance of the town, you will find a Team Rocket member guarding the Slowpoke Well. Leave him alone. Find a place called Kurt's House at the north of the town and get in. Talk to the man and then go back to the well. The Rocket member will gone. Go inside the well and fight all the Rocket members. After you've beaten all of them, Kurt will bring you to his house. Now fight the gym in the town. This is the second one you'll face. Defeat all the gym members as usual. The gym leader here is Bugsy which uses bug pokemon. You may burn her pokemon with fire attacks or uses flying, rock or poison type attacks. Then, she'll give you a Hivebadge and a TM called Fury Cutter. Now go out and head to the west of the town to exit the town. As you're walking to the entrance, your rival will appear and challenge you. Win the battle and proceed to Ilex Forest. Your egg may hatch into a level 5 Togepi anytime here. Follow the road and you'll see a man. Talk to him and you'll know that he lost his Farfetch'd. Proceed further and you'll see the Farfetch'd. Push the pokemon back to his owner. His father will appear. Talk to him and you'll get a HM called Cut. Teach it to your pokemon and cut the tree at the right of them and explore the forest to go to route 34.

The City Of Golden
        Pass the route. You'll see a house at your right as you're passing. It is the famous pokemon breeding center. Go in and talk to the old man. He'll give you an Odd Egg which will hatched to a pokemon later. You may breed your pokemon here. Next, go out and proceed to the biggest city in Johto, Goldenrod City! There are many things to do in the city. But first, it's pretty slow to walk on your feet, right? So, you're going to get a bike. Go up the city and turn to right when you see a train railway. Don't pass the railway. After turning right, follow the road until you've come to an end. Walk in the last house and talk to the shopkeeper and you'll get a bike if you promise to advertise his bike. Ride his bike a little and after some time, he'll phone you telling he'll give the bike to you as a reward. Great? OK, now you can explore the city yourself. There are many places, like game corner, bill's house, underground path, supermarket...... After a whole day exploring, it's time to battle the gym leader. The Celadon gym leader, Whitney uses normal type pokemon, so faint her pokemon by using fighting attacks! After you won, she'll not giving you her badge. Walk out and you'll be blocked by a member. Talk to the leader again and this time she'll give you a Plainbadge and a TM called Attract. After that, go out and get in the house located at the right of the gym there. Talk to a girl inside to get Squirtwater.

The Funny Tree Pokemon
        Go out of the gym and exit Goldenrod City using the gate at the north of the city. Follow the route. There are two way to go to Ecruteak City, your next destination. First, pass the National Park. Second, cut the tree at the right from the entrance of National Park. These two ways lead to a new route. Follow the route and you'll meet a tree that will shake when you touch it. Touch it and use Squirtwater when you're asked to. It will turn into a pokemon and attack you. You can capture it or faint it. After you finish the battle, use the route at the left to go to Ecruteak City.  

Legendary Beasts Of Johto
        After you've come to Ecruteak City, go to the dancing house. Fight all the five kimono girls and talk to a man below the stage. He'll give you HM Surf. Then, go to the fourth gym. To reach the gym leader, Morty you have to pass a puzzle first. Morty uses ghost type pokemon. So use psychic attacks. After you've won, you'll get a Fogbadge and a TM called Shadow Ball. Now, go to the infamous Burned Tower. Follow the path at the left of the tower. Find a stair and walk in. You'll come to an underground place. Walk up the stairs at the north. As you're walking up, the three statues there will wake up and turn into the three legendary beasts: Suicune, Entei and Raikou. They'll run away. Then use the original path to walk out of the house. Go out Ecruteak City by using the west gate.

Sick Cow Needs Help
        Walk along the route to the end and you'll find two ways. One leads to a farm house and the other leads to Olivine City. In the farm house, there is a secondary task. You can win the game too if you don't solve it. But if you want, here is how: There is two houses there. Walk in the house on the left. There is a cow who is sick. Feed it with berries until it is healthy again. Then, walk to the other house. Talk to the woman to get a TM. Talk to the man to buy Moomoo Milk. After that, go to Olivine City.

Gym Leader's Problem
        After you arrive at Olivine and walk in the gym, your rival will tell you that the gym leader is not there. She is at the lighthouse that is located at the southeast of the city. Go to the top of the lighthouse. You'll fight a lot of trainers. After you arrive at the top, you'll know that the gym leaders pokemon is sick. Berries will not help the pokemon this time! You need the surf all your way from the sea of Olivine City to Cianwood City. To do that, you need to pass Whirl Islands. After you arrive to Cianwood, go to the house at the right of the gym there. Talk to the medicine man to get the medicine for the gym leader's pokemon. Then, fight the gym there. To get to the gym leader, Chuck, you need to move the boulders there in the right way. The leader uses fighting type pokemon so faint them with psychic or flying attacks. Beat him to get a Stormbadge and a TM called Dynamic Punch. Then, walk out the gym and talk to the woman just at the front door of the gym to get HM Fly. Teach it to your flying pokemon and fly back to Olivine! Go to the top of the lighthouse and give the medicine to her pokemon. Now, walk down and go to her gym. She uses steel type pokemon. Fire attacks is good to beat her pokemon. You'll get a Mineralbadge and a TM called Steel Wing if you beat her.Lance The Dragon Trainer
        Now, fly to Ecruteak City and exit using the east gate. Surf across the water to go to land again. Walk to right again and surf through the water to land again. Pass the route to a new town called Mahogany Town. Go up to Lake Of Rage. If you're using the gate, you must pay $1000 to pass by. When you arrived at Lake Of Rage, go to the center of the lake and battle the Red Gyrados. You can either faint it or capture it. Then, surf back to land and talk to a guy with black cloth. He is Lance, the greatest dragon master. After you talk to him, go back to Mahogany Town. Walk in the first shop at the north of pokemon center. You'll meet Lance again. Walk down the secret stairs. You'll arrive at the Team Rocket secret basement. If you walk pass a statue there, two Rocket members will fight you. To close the alarm, walk to the center of the that floor and close the switch of the computer. Then, walk to the southwest of that floor to another stair. Go inside. 

Quest For Passwords
        You'll meet Lance again at that floor. He'll heal your pokemon. Walk to the right until you see a stair. Walk up and you'll meet Lance again. After talking to him walk straight to your left. Go to the first room. Fight the woman. After the battle. Talk to her to get your first password. Then, walk out of the room and continue to the left. At the end, you'll see another room. Walk in and battle the man. After that, talk to him and you'll get the second password. Then, go up the stair at the northeast of that floor. Then, walk to the left again and walk up another stair there. After that, go in the room at that floor. You'll need the passwords. Before you get in, you'll talk to your rival. After that, walk in the room and win the battle with the Rocket's executive. Then talk to the bird to get a password. Go all your way down to the place near to the secret stair which you used to go in Rocket's basement. You'll find a room there. As you walk in you'll get to fight two Rocket's members with Lance. After beating them, Lance will order you to destroy the Electrodes there. Do as he says. OK, your mission is complete. Lance will give you HM Whirlpool. Now, go up to Mahogany Town. 

Double Trouble Again
        After beating Team Rocket, now you can fight the seventh gym in Mahogany Town. There is an ice field in the gym. Before you can get to the gym leader. You must pass the puzzling field. The gym leader here called Pryce. He uses ice and water type pokemon. So, you may melt Piloswine with fire attacks and faint Dewgong with grass or electric attack. After beating him, you'll get a Glacierbadge and a TM called Icy Wind. As soon as you walked out of the gym, Prof. Elm will phone you and tell you something happened to the Radio Tower in Goldenrod City. Fly back there. Go in the Radio Tower. Oh my god, it's those Rockets again! It looks like Team Rocket controlled the tower. You have to save the tower. Proceed to the top and defeat all the Rockets that battle you on your way. At the most top you'll fight Team Rocket's Executive again. Defeat him to get a key. Now, go out of the tower.

Secret Of The Supermarket's Basement Floor
        Go in the underground path in Goldenrod City. Don't go straight to another end. Turn to another road as you walked to a junction. Open the locked door with the key you received from the executive. Go inside and go down the stair. Walk to the left. You'll meet your rival again and he'll fight you. After that, beat the three rocket members there. You'll have to switch the right combinations to solve the puzzle. OK, now press the switch at the left. Then, press the center one and the last, the right one. The door at the left will open. Go inside and follow the path. Defeat the woman there. Then, go inside the door. Go along the path. After some walking, you'll see a stair. Don't go up yet. Continue the path to the end. You'll meet the kidnapped Director. Talk to him to get a card. You can go up the stair now. After that, go to the left. You'll see an elevator. Go to the first floor. Get out of the supermarket. Now you finally know that the secret door in the underground path leads to the basement floor of Goldenrod Mart. But, your rescue haven't complete yet. Go to the Radio Tower again.

The Hero Of Radio Tower
        Go up until you reached third floor. Walk to the right. Use the card to open the security door. Now, proceed to the top using the new stairs. after you reached the top, defeat Rocket's Executive. OK, your job is done. Team Rocket will be gone now. You're the hero of Goldenrod Radio Tower. Go out the tower and fly to Mahogany Town. 

Dragon Menace
        Exit the town using the east entrance. Walk along the route until you come to an end. Get in Ice Path. There are ice fields and puzzles here. Think before you cross. You have to get HM Waterfall in here too. It is important. After you've pass the cave, Walk down and you'll arrive at Blackthorn City. Now, you'll fight the eight and last gym in Johto. The gym is located at the north of the city. You have to move the boulders to the hole to get to the leader named Clair. She uses dragon pokemon. So, ice attacks will be the one which is effective to fight her. The last pokemon she'll use is Kingdra, a water pokemon. So use grass or electric attacks to fight it. After you've won the battle, she'll not give you the badge yet, you have to pass a test.

Search For The Badge
        She'll say you must find her badge in Dragon's Den. So, what you're waiting for? Let's go! To get the badge, you have to use HM Whirlpool. So, teach it to your pokemon first. Then, get out of the gym. Surf up the water just besides the gym. Surf to the middle top and you'll see a land. Go up and enter the entrance. Go up the stair and exit using the hole. You'll arrive at Dragon's Den. Surf down the water. Follow the road at the west of Dragon's Den. Use HM Whirlpool when you arrive ahead of a whirlpool. Then, proceed until you reached the end. Go up the land and search the badge. Clair will appear and give a Risingbadge and a TM called Dragonbreath to you. OK, back to Blackthorn City!

Road To Victory
        Eight badges in your hand, and now for the ultimate. You're going to fight the Elite Four. To reach there, you must pass plenty of places. First, fly to New Bark Town. Surf straight through the water at the east of the town. Walk out at the land. You've arrived at Kanto and got a Kanto map. Now, follow the path and get in the cave. Surf through the water and use HM Waterfall to climb up the waterfall. After that, swim down the second waterfall and get out using the hole. Now, it's easy to pass. Just follow the routes and fight all the trainer. Keep going and going until you reached the entrance to Victory Road. Walk in and show the eight badges to the guard. Next, walk straight and go in Victory Road which is a cave. This cave is quite easy to pass. As you're getting out at the end of the cave, you rival will appear and battle you. Win him and he'll eventually get away. Walk out of the cave and walk into a big house. You've arrived at Indigo Plateau, your final destination to fight Elite Four!

The Fights For The Best
        OK, remember to buy anything you want and heal your pokemon. You're ready now! go up the stair at the northeast of the building. You have to fight four elite trainers. The last one is Lance, the dragon trainer. But, show no mercy and defeat them all. For guide on how to defeat them, click here. After you win, you'll get recorded in the Hall Of Fame. Then, credit will appears. After the credit, continues the game by pressing 'CONTINUE' at the menu screen. You'll stand at the entrance of your house. After you walk a few steps, Prof. Elm's will call you. Meet him at his lab.

The Ship That Leads To Kanto
        He'll give you a S.S. Ticket to you. You can use the ticket to ride ship to Kanto! To do that, fly to Olivine City. Go to Olivine Port. Show the guard your ticket and he'll let you get on board. As soon as you walk in the ship, a man will tell you that his granddaughter is missing. You need to find her. There are a lot of trainers to fight in their cabin, if you want. To find the girl, go up the stair at the southeast of that floor. Go up but you'll be stopped by a guard. To pass him, you need to get his buddy back. So, go down again and go in the cabin just beside your room at the northwest of that floor. Talk to him and win the battle with him. Now, go back to the second floor. You can pass through now. Go to the left and follow the path to the end. Go up the stair and go in the room at that floor. Talk to the girl there. Eventually you'll bring her to his grandpa. The ship will also arrive at Kanto! Talk to the guard at the door to get out of the ship.
