Is it something there? Can Misty really feel something for Gary Oak? Does his superiority, his many pokèmon, his cheerleaders (well I was convinced after "the mandarin island miss match")… or something else that attracts her to him?

Doubtfully. Misty has too much on Ash to go over to Gary (as I see it at least), and since we all know how Ash react to him I can't really imagine Misty get together with him anyway. Ash himself has shown more interest in Gary than Misty has.
