EVENT REPORT - Dave Owen - Weather prospects looks fairly cloudy for this event so no attempt was made to bring the big 16 inch Dobsonian. I arrived, with Geoff Regan and my 80mm f5 refractor at about 19:05. Jim Stacey, with his 100mm f5 refractor was already here.
Dave Bentley set up his 85mm refractor and Lawrence Ashworth set up his 100mm f9 refractor. All that we could see, through the telescopes, were some lights on the other side of the River Mersey. It stayed 100% cloudy, but dry, for the whole duration of this event.
Brendan Martin set up his 10 inch Dobsonian and the only other telescope was a small refractor that a visitor brought along.
Geoff Regan did a talk in the Visitors Centre from about 19:45 to about 20:45. There were estimated to be about 30 members of the public and about 10 LAS members who attended this event.
