EVENT REPORT

The weather was reasonably ok for this event. However, although the Moon rose at 19:44 it was not visible until about 22:00, due to horizon hugging clouds. Mars was also invisible until after this event finished. Still, there was a reasonable turnout of 12 members of the public, 3 LAS members, the Librarian and Rachel Northover, who used to be a Ranger at Pex Hill, home of the LAS observatory.

Geoff Regan did a slide show, mostly based on the Solar System, while I displayed my 6 inch f4 reflector. Rachel also took some digital photos, which are shown below.

The next Sidewalk event is on Tue 25 Sep 2001, 19:00 - 22:00, at Stadt Moers Park. We will hopefully have the 16 inch mobile telescope in use at this event.
