USEFUL CHINESE PHRASES!!!
To show Chinese pronunciation, people use pinyin. In pinyin, letters such as b,p,m,f,t,d,n,l,g,k,j,s,w,y,ch,and sh are pronounced approximately the same as they're pronucned in English. There are exceptions, though. In chinese a 'c' is prononced like a 'ts', a 'q' is pronounced more like a 'ch', a 'x' is pronounced like a 'sh', a 'z' is pronounced more like 'dz', a 'r' is pronounced more like a cross between a 'j' and a 'r' (a little like the 'z', in 'azure'), and the 'h' is pronounce like a German 'ch'.
