The Indigo league is the first pokemon league of the entire series, and it also represents the first season. The Indego league, or Season one, is when Ash is introduced, and when the main characters Misty, Brock, Jesse and James are introduced. Ash catches his first pokemon is this season, and he also gets his first eight badges.
