OAV SERIES: She was created by Washu. She came to Earth 700 yeas ago in a battle with Yosho and was trapped in a cave until Tenchi released her, by accident. She falls in love with Tenchi because she see's him grow up.
TV SERIES: Ryoko is space pirate who comes down to earth when being chased by Mihoshi. She tricks tenchi into thinking she is good, and had a battle with Mihoshi, destroying Mihoshi's ship. The two of them stay with Tenchi.
