These cheats are for Gold & Silver American & English Version
HOW TO CATCH THE LEGENDARY DOGS:
The Three legendary dogs are Suicune (aurora)
the ice/water type, Entei (volcano)
the fire type, and Raikou (thunder)
the electric type.
You will first see them under Ecruteak tower...break the rock, fall down the hall and you will see three pokemon...they will then scatter.
When you next run into them (by chance), you will be able to keep track of where they are using your pokedex.DON'T BOTHER TRYING TO CHASE THEM..THEY MOVE TOO FAST!!!!! Instead, wait for them to come to you.
To catch them, there are 2 ways...ITEM DUPLICATION OF MASTERBALL which i will explain later, or using a POKEMON WHOSE LEVEL IS OVER 40 WHO KNOWS MEAN LOOK. Mean look means that the pokemon you are battling cannot run...which is always the first thing the dogs try when you encounter them. N.B.in order for this to work, your pokemon must have the first attack.
HOW TO CATCH HO-OH:
Ho oh is the Japanese word for the Phoenix (the fire bird) and so Ho-oh is a fire type. To find Ho-oh, you must make your way to the top of the burning tower.REMEMBER TO SAVE YOUR GAME BEFORE BATTLING SO IF YOU LOSE YOU STILL HAVE MORE CHANCES.
- GOLD GAME HO-OH:Just go straight to the top of the burnt tower.HO-OH IS AT LEVEL 40 so just catch him as a regular pokemon
- >SILVER GAME HO-OH: Collect the rainbow feather from the man in Pewter city and then go to the burnt tower HO-OH IS AT LEVEL 70 so you might want to use a master ball
HOW TO CATCH LUGIA:
Lugia is the mystical water bird who lives at the bottom of the ocean...or in Whirl islands in this case.
- LUGIA IN GOLD:Collect the silver feather from the man in Pewter city. Go the the Whirl Islands in Johto.Go to the top left island of the four whirl islands (the first one you come to) NB YOU WILL NEED A POKEMON WHO KNOWS WHIRLPOOL TO ACCESS THESE ISLANDS, AS WELL AS SURF (obviously)...keep on trvelling until you reach a cave...that's where Lugia will be. LUGIA IS AT LEVEL 70
- LUGIA IN SILVER:Go straight to the whirl island descirbed above. LUGIA IS AT LEVEL 40 so don't use your masterball.
POKEMON + ITEM DUPLICATION:
Take a pokemon and attach an item to it. Open Bill's PC and CHANGE BOX to anything. Deposit pokemon and click CHANGE BOX again. wait until the words "SAVING , DO NOT TURN OFF POWER" HAVE COMPLETELY APPEARED AND QUICKLY SWITCH OFF. When you turn on, you will still have that pkmn + item in your team, but you will also have one in your Pkmn box. YOU CAN DUPLICATE ANYTHING + ANYONE.
BEST THINGS TO DUPLICATE... BREEDING STONES + ITEMS, NUGGETS, MASTERBALL, ITEMS (such as charcoal) WHICH UP THE POWER OF CERTAIN TYPES
