The Story

Ash, Misty & Tracey are travelling round the Orange Islands when they come to Ashia Island where a festival of the "3 LORDS" is happening. The priestess come and tells them about it - God of Thunder, God of Ice and God of Fire and Ash is elected to lead the party as the chosen one, him being a pokemon trainer. Meanwhile, an evil genius is plotting to kidnap all of the legendary birds to arise the God of the Sea. He lures out Moltres from the Island of fire & catches him.

Ash goes out to the Island of fire to retrieve the Fire Globe but runs into Zapdos who is trying to take over the Island of Fire now that Moltres isn't around any more. Ash meets Slowking who advises him that things are not well. Ash takes the globe and goes to the Island of Thunder to retieve the 2nd globe . Zapdos shoots a thunderbolt down, destroying the temple where the Thunder globe is hidden, but not before Ash has time to retrieve it.

The evil genius has now captured both birds and Ash finds himself on the evil genius' spaceship where he helps to free the angry birds.

Ash takes the 2 globes to the shrine where he is meant to place them, but Slowking is horrified to see that he has only 2 out of the three globes needed to calm the legendary birds. Ash is forced to go to the Island of Ice , but the whole area is hit by tornados, whirlpools, lightning & hurricanes as the world is unbalanced now the birds are fighting. Pokemon across the world can sense this and all begin to travel to this Island.

As Ash travels to the third island, Lugia awakens and flies out of the water. The birds all go and attack Lugia, defeating him and Lugia sinks to the bottom of the ocean. Slowking is angry that the chosen one was not there to protect Lugia. The preistess girl plays her flute, awakening Lugia. Ash is having trouble leaving the Island of Ice due to the birds fighting and the bad weather, when Lugia arrives and takes Ash on his back and heads towards the shrine.

Ash places the last ball in the shrine and the birds are calmed. Lugia thanks Ash and returns to the bottom of the ocean.
