At first this card dosen't look that powerful. But a sneaky 40 damage here and there is disruptive. Let's see just how good this Scyther really is and maybe get a report on Neo 2 Scyther.
Slashdown
Slashdown is a pretty cool attack. 2 Grass for 40 is good, but you can't use it next turn. I guess Rocket's Scyther is better since it can do a constant 40 for a Grass and 2 Colorless. This Pokemon is very bad when you first start with him because you will only attack once out of 3 turns. (One grass, end turn. Next turn, attach Slashdown. Next turn, can't use it). This attack is most powerful is a Venusaur's Energy Transfer deck and a good late game card as well.
Stats
Like the orginal Scyther, this has a strong good Resistance of 30 to all Fighting Pokemon. But also like the orginal Scyther, it has a Weaknesss to Fire. Vending Scyther also has 60HP and 1 Colorless Retreat Cost.
Combos
This card works very well in a Venusaur deck. A quick and easy 40 is like a Mini-Double Edge in a Venusaur deck. This card is also ok in a Haymaker but Rocket's Scyther is probably better.
Rating
I give Vending Scyther a 6.8. It would get higher but this one has a Retreat Cost, 60HP, and can only attack once every two turns (if he is already powered up). He is still great in a Venusaur deck though.
