Koga's Muk

Koga's Muk Type: Stage 1 < Koga's Grimer Card#: 26/132 Rarity: Rare Color: Grass HP: 80 Weakness: P Resistance: none Retreat: 3 Pkmn#: 89 Species: Sludge Lv: 38 Power: "Energy Drain" If an opponent's attack does damage to Koga's Muk (even if Koga's Muk is Knocked Out), flip a coin. If heads and it has any, choose 1 Energy card attached to the attacking Pokémon and discard it. This power can't be used if Koga's Muk is already Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed when your opponent attacks. Attack: [1GG] Sludge Whirlpool (40)

This is a cool interesting card, I doubt if it will win any tournaments, but it is a cool card at the very least. Let's check it out and see how good it is.

Energy Drain

Defense! It might not seem that good, but if you can get a heads that stops your opponent from attaching a energy to attack again or to another Pokemon. It tails, well theres 80HP, so thats good. This can disrupt your opponent by possibly even removing a Double Colorless Energy from them. The sad part is that they have to do damage. If it has just attacks this card would be alot better.

Sludge Whirlpool

Since Defense is covered with Energy Drain, some offense is required. For 2 Grass and a Colorless you can do 40 damage which is a little expensize, but not to terribly bad. It's good if you can get a No Removal Gym out so the energy isn't taken away, but you can still take away your opponent's Energy with Energy Drain (No Removal Gym only counts for Energy Removal and Super Energy Removal).

Combos

Since it's a Koga's Pokemon, you can do some serious stuff with it. You can use Koga's Ninja Trick, which wouldn't to to great. The best thing is Fushcia City Gym and Koga. If your opponent attacks Koga's Muk the turn before Koga was played, that Pokemon is posioned and you flip for Energy Drain. Plus, Fushcia City Gym lets you shuffle Pokemon back into your deck. So you can use all these Trainers and Attacks and Stadium Cards and Attacks put together can be pretty cool.

Stats

Koga's Muk stats aren't really that good, the only good thing is the solid 80HP. It has no Resistance and 3 Colorless Retreat Cost which makes it vunerable and hard to get outta there unless you got Koga's Ninja Trick. Also, the Weakness to Psychic makes Movie Promo Mewtwo able to KO it without a problem.

Rating

I give Koga's Muk a 6.9. It has some good combos, but they are hard to get going with todays enviroment and everything esle.
