Make more for a new Haymaker card. It is Gligar! In my own opinion, I sort of think this card is like a Hitmonchan and Scyther put together! Before I knew the American name, I though this card was a Holo since it was talked about so much! Let's see the weakness's and strenghs of Gligar.

Posion Sting

A single Fighting Energy for 10 and a 50% chance of Posion? That is a great attack! It gets a good advantage on Erika's Dratini and can even hurt Scyther. Not to mention, Pokemon weak to Fighting are going to have a problem fighting him off! Great opening attack, but hey, but his attacks are good openers.

Slash

It is Hitmonchan all over again. It is called Slash, just like Scyther's Slash. Also, it takes 2 Colorless Energy for 20 damage! So a Double Colorless Energy or Fighting Energy, either way Gligar can do damage. It is so Hitmonchan like, the 20 damage on turn 1. Could this card be better then Scyther and Hitmonchan??

Stats

You have two positives and two negatives here. The 2 negatives being the Weakness to Grass (since Scyther is so common), and the 60HP. The 60HP isn't to bad, but that 10 extra can really make a difference. The two positives, the Free Retreat Cost and Resistance to Fighting! Hummm....what Pokemon I wonder those two stats came from? (coughScythercough) But anyway, Gligar is also a Fighting type, meaning it can do 40 for a DCE in any deck when a Pokemon has Weakness. Really to good to be true.

Combos

Stick it in any Haymaker, Wavemaker, wait. You can stick Gligar anywhere! Since Slash is a decent Colorless attack, with or without Fighting Energy. Probably better off in a Haymaker deck though.

Is it better then Scyther?

Some might think so, some might not. Gligar is a fighting type meaning two things. 1. There is going to be lots of Resistance to it. 2. There is going to be alot of Weakness to it. Scyther on the other hand, is Grass. Not alot of Weakness going around UNTIL Neo came out. Scyther can now get the advantage on Gligar and the almighty Feraligatr. They both have Slash, I prefer Gligar's Slash since it can be used on turn 1, but what? Scyther has Swords Dance to set up Slash? It looks like a tiebreaker until Scyther comes in with 10 extra HP. But really, I prefer Gligar. You may or may not agree with me, but that is what I think.

Rating

I would have to give Gligar a 9.7. It is just a really good card. It is also a all around card also.
