Dark Charizard

Dark Charizard Type: Stage 2 < Dark Charmeleon Card#: 4/82 Rarity: Holo Color: Fire HP: 80 Weakness: W Resistance: F -30 Retreat: 3 Pkmn#: 6 Species: Flame Lv: 38 Attack: [C] Nail Flick (10) Attack: [FF] Continuous Fireball (50x) Flip a number of coins equal to the number of Fire Energy cards attached to Dark Charizard. This attack does 50 damage times the number of heads. Discard a number of Fire Energy cards attached to Dark Charizard equal to the number of heads.

So, Charizard finally has a good evolution. One that does some pretty decent damage and actually kill a Mr. Mime! Nice.

Nail Flick

Ouch, 10 damage. Stop the insanity. It may not be the greatest attack out there, but it can kill Mr. Mime and it is SOMETHING if you can't use or don't want to use Continous Fireball. I think Wizards could of made this a little stronger. Like 20 damage. But 10, gosh that is horrible!

Continuous FireBall

Ouch. 50 is some big damage. Easy Ko to a Scyther. The thing that is so good about this attack is that it only takes 2 Energies for a 50% chance of discarding one for 50 (that is if you have 2 Energies on Dark Charizard). A drawback is that you have to flip for each Fire Energy on you. You can't choose how many you want to flip, so you might discard more then you want to kill something easy like a Scyther. Very good attack though.

Stats

Fighting Resistance! Very nefty. The 3 Retreat is just horrible, but it could be worse! Weakness to Water isn't a huge problem and 80HP could be better. But low HP for Dark Pokemon is pretty common.

Combos

Use the Team Rocket Charmander. Also, I suggest Pokemon Breeder over Dark Charmeleon. If you can get Dark Charizard out of Turn 2, it can be a bad thing. Nightly Garbage Run, Super Energy Retreival, and Time Capsule are good also. Switch or Wrap Point can cover up the big Retreat Cost. Also, don't forget the Fossil Magmars when using a Fire deck! :)

Rating

I give Dark Charizard a 7.5. It is better then the orginal, but flipping is always not good.
