Across the Seas

I sit sometimes at night, looking out at the stars. I think of other people, traveling miles of here and afar. Alas I cannot join them. Alas I cannot see, What a wonderful life I could have, If it was just you and me. To sit on the beach, to gaze into your eyes, My troubles would be all away. I could not ask for anymore, just for you to stay, to stay. As I look now, across the ocean, your name rings loud and clear. Alas I cannot join you, you live to far from here. But some day, some day 'tis you I will find, And then our journey now 'tis clear, And only love is blind.
