Begin chapter 3
Good morning master Jordan, Misty said. Thanks I guess. Err, good morning to you Misty. Thank you, she said. There was a long pause. We were al a little spooked y the fact that we could suddenly talk to each other. I looked down, to see the big eyes of my Vaporeon Misty. She was the only one to be brave enough to talk to me after I hooked up the PST was installed. She sighed and switched her tail nervously. My Jolteon Jason seemed rather bored with the whole thing, and was training in the corner. Wildfire seemed even shyer than usual, and peeked out from under the bed to look at me. Then I found my target. Ninetails Kassidy was acting very calm, licking her paw. Kassidy? I said. Hmm? What is it Master Jordan? Oh nothing, I just wondered how you were feeling. It's my job to check on you all, you know. Yes Master Jordan, she replied. I'm Shure your quite excited about your new gift. Yes, I replied. Though you all seem a bit nervous to talk to me. They all stirred a bit from that comment. Now, Jason walked over. Well Master Jordan, I think that we should be training and battling. Were not here to sit around and chat all day. With that he jumped up on the bed and sat down, sending a frightened Flareon running out from under the bed. Wildfire growled at Jason, then sat down. I don't really mind what we do. I just obey your orders Master Jordan. Kassidy yawned. Why don't we just take the rest of the day off? I think we have done quite good. Now Misty spoke. Master Jordan, I think we should find out more about Midori. If you ever want to get a mew or mewtwo, you need to head out. We could all use the experience, and I think we are quite fit for the journey. Oh Yeah! Jason said. Oh brother, Kassidy sighed. Wildfire hoped up on the side of the bed. What do you want to do? He asked. I looked around the room at the eyes of my pokemon, al centered on me. There all like little people, I thought, Each with there own personalities. I wonder what I should do today? I actually am rather tired. Maybe we should stay here and head out bright and fresh tomorrow morning. All right I said. Were gonna take today off, but we are gonna leave to train tomorrow morning bright and early! Yes master Jordan. The all replied.
I Spent most of the rest of the day loading things into my computer. I thought that if it is a long journey I should be prepared. What I didn't load into my computer I put in my backpack for emergencies and the deposited my laptop into the computer main system. I looked around my apartment. It was bare except for the few things that were here complementary of the owners like the bed, chairs, etc. I went to the bathroom and took a long shower, and headed to bed. I fell asleep almost instantly.
All right men, Satoshi Tonen shouted. Today TR strikes back. Our mission is to get as many rare pokemon as possible. There are reports of trainers with extraordinarily rare pokemon Living in this area. We will hit Golden Dawn Apartments first. Soon Team Rocket will rule the world! His speech was followed closely by the applause of many TR followers. All right everyone, get ready. We will leave here tomorrow at dawn. Satoshi was the general of Team Rocket, and the advisory to many leaders. He stood wearing a Team Rocket uniform, and a small metal band with a glass piece around his head and eye he used as a pokedex to easily identify pokemon. He stood very classy with regal bearing. He had his hair back in a ponytail and walked very proper, signifying his high rank and command. He was "sir" to most everyone in TR, and everyone looked up to him. Today is the day, we will rule, today is the day we will get revenge.
I woke up the next morning to hear a loud thump. Guys, keep it down I said. Then I realized all my pokemon were in their pokeballs, except Kassidy who was asleep next to me on the bed. I jumped out of bed and quickly got dressed. I grabbed my backpack and looked around for my belt with the pokeballs on them, but when I found the belt, it was empty. Kassidy wake up! I said. I hid her under my bed, thinking there might be pokemon thieves out. I opened the door and looked around and saw Team Rocket members everywhere. I jumped out fists clenched and said, hey! Give me back my pokemon and swung at the man in front of me, and hit him hard, Though I didn't seem to notice the man behind me with a club. I felt a pain in the back of my head then darkness.
I woke up again to see Kassidy standing in front of me. Kassidy you're all right! I said. I returned her to her pokeball and put it on my belt. Team Rocket will BURN for this! I said. Then I noticed something else burning. the apartment was on fire! I went running to the stairs and saw the flames down below. The alarm went off, and Chaos broke lose. People carrying their things and pokemon went screaming out the door. The computer system exploded and was sent flying. The staircases were now splinters. I ran toward the fire escape on the side of the building, and ran for my life. Another explosion rang, and I hit the ground. I scrambled to my feet, and ran to the front of the building. Fire trucks were pulling up, and people were screaming for their friends, family and pokemon back. I looked at the burning building, and the people crying all a round me. There was an old man holding his wife in his arms, the emergency vehicles trying to take her away. Young kids were crying, pokemon limping and injured. Maybe even some dead. My eyes watered and burned, and I felt pure hatred for what Team Rocket had done.
I looked to my right to see a kid screaming for his pokemon back. I walked over to him. He told me he hid his weepingbell in his closet, but he couldn't get it in time. I told him it would be all right, and broke my last thread. I lost control of my actions and went running into the building. Two firemen grabbed me and I pushed them aside. I ran in and my lungs filled with smoke. I didn't care. I looked to my right and saw a sword hanging on the wall in a leather sheath for decoration. I grabbed the sword and attached the sheath to my belt, and cut through the remaining doors of the lower apartment. I ran to the second room on the left, and split the door in two. I ran in, and heard a cry. Shure enough, it was a weepingbell. I picked it up and made a mad dash for the entrance, and got out 30 seconds before the building collapsed. I gave the weeping bell to the boy, and the people around applauded. I had never felt so good in my life. I sit on a bench until the crowd cleared.
I walked back to the rubble, and saw a few people that had my idea as well and was going to search for some surviving items. 2 were sorting out ash, and the others in a little group talking. I decided to investigate. Hey Jordan! What a bummer, are you all right? Dustin appeared in the little group. I was looking all over for you. I'm fine, I said. I stored all of my items in the computer on the net to access later, and the rest is in my backpack. But team rocket stole my pokemon. Oh, that really sucks man, at least you still have your things. Some people were left with nothing but their lives, others…. He trailed off. Others with nothing at all, I said. There was a long pause. Then someone said, hey, did you guys loose your pokemon too? I said yeah, and Dustin said he was just a friend of mine. He told me maybe I ought to check out TRK, there a group set out to stop TR and get their pokemon back, and it might be your only chance to save your pokemon. Misty… I thought. She could be hurt, and what about Jason and Wildfire? I had to save them.
I told Dustin I was going to go find TRK alone, and to take care of himself. He left and waved goodbye, and I headed toward the TRK meeting place I was told about. It was just a ways from the little pokemon gym I battled Dustin next too. I walked out, but no one was there. I waited for a long time, thinking no one would show. I got up, and someone put their hand on my shoulder. Nice sword you have there, he said with a smirk. I just now realized I still had it. I got this out of the fire, I told him. I came here looking for TRK, I want to g et my pokemon back. Then you came to the right place, he said. Allow us to introduce ourselves, he said. I am Cid, Sir Knight Cid to you. A girl stepped out from behind him. This is Candy. Then Cid stepped aside. A tall, dark figure emerged. He was a teenager about 6 foot tall, my age wearing a black cap, mirrored shades, blue jeans, work boots and a white T-shirt. This is our leader. For as long as we have known him, he was chaos, and that's what we call him. Cid said. You can call me sir, he said. I grinned. Nice to meet you all, but if we are going to fight TR, we have work to do. Chaos smiled. I think I'm going to like you, he said. Come with me. The turned around and started walking, and I followed them.
We came across a field with a large flat rock in it. I laughed, so is this your HQ? Chaos grinned and with amazing strength, moved the rock aside to lead to a staircase winding down. I'm impressed, I admitted. We started walking down the stairs toward the bottom, our footsteps echoed heavily around us. We finally made it to the bottom, to a large metal door. Chaos took a small card from his pocket, and inserted it in a slit I hadn't noticed before. Access granted the computer chimed happily. We walked to the door, into a small elevator like room. He pushed 1 on a keypad, and I could feel us moving. Suddenly the back of the room slid open, to reveal a glass panel, and we stepped up to it. When I looked out, what I saw took my breath away.
It was like an underground town! I stared in bewilderment at all of the buildings, and figures. There are three sections of our town, he said. The left side, known as the dormitory section, is where we keep buildings for people to keep rooms, etc. You can sleep and store your stuff here. The right side, is mainly supply buildings, but you can eat and buy or sell things here. The back section is completely recreational, with a pool, and places for humans and pokemon alike to relax. The large gray house in the center is for High-ranking T.R.K. members only, and occasional meetings. It was fairly normal, except for the recreational center, with grass and flowers, trees and small building. There was a large fountain in the middle, and the floor and surrounding area was made of marble, with the exception of the recreational Center. Chaos said, most of us refer as the Recreational Center as RC. Feel free to look around, you're free until 12:00. Meet me there, in front of the fountain.
With that, they walked off toward the gray building. If you need us, just contact us at the speakerphone at H.Q.I walked over to the fountain and sit down. The sound of the water was strangely soothing. I released my only pokemon, Kassidy. Hi, I said. Hello, Jordan, she said. It startled me, I forgot that they had new pokemon speech translators. I'm really depressed, I said. I came here so I could find my lost pokemon. She put her head on my lap. Everything will turn out ok, she said. I smiled and closed my eyes. I wanted to get my pokemon back and leave forever, get away from everyone. I just wanted to relax. I thought of being at the beach, watching Misty play in the surf, Jason chasing krabby's and Kassidy laying in the sun. Hello there, someone said.
I turned around, startled to see a girl standing behind me. She had long black hair and a blue outfit on. Hi, I said. I noticed you had a ninetails, she said. It's my favorite pokemon. You want to trade for a eevee? No, I replied. She's all I have left, and my only pokemon. Really? She asked and sat down beside me. Why just one? Did they get your- Yeah, I interrupted. The burnt down my apartment and stole my pokemon. How awful! She said. I came here because I had nowhere else to go, she said. It's along story she said. My name is Laura, she said. Did you just now join? Yeah, I said. My name is Jordan, nice to meet you. This is Kassidy. Hello Laura, she said. Whoa! She can talk?! Laura asked. Yeah, I said. I have a pokemon translator. Cool, she said. May I borrow it sometime? Yeah, I said. In returns, I'll show you around the place. All right, sounds fun. It will give me something to do. She got up ad held out her hand. Shall we? Shure, I said and got up. I took her hand and we walked down the hall. Things might turn out better than I thought.
