1.            在面对现代化，全球化的大趋势下，弘扬华族优良传统，维护华族文化遗产。 

2.            让世界更了解新加坡华族社会，文化，文艺方面的演变与发展。

3.            促进新加坡各民族间的亲善，互相了解，和谐共处。 

4.            出版一份综合性刊物，促进各地对炎黄文化有兴趣者之间的学术交流与研究。

Its objects are:

(a)       To foster and safeguard the good traditions and cultural heritage of Singapore Chinese under the impact of modernisation and globalisation.

(b)       To help the Chinese community in other parts of the world to better understand the evolution and development of the Singapore Chinese community, their culture and arts.

(c)       To support goodwill, mutual understanding and harmonious relationships between different ethnic groups in Singapore.

 (d)      To publish a multi‑disciplinary academic periodical to promote research and interaction between the Association and other similar overseas organisations, subject to approval from the relevant authorities.
