Lost in Silence
by

Brandy Lynn

Silence is all that's heard in my ears.
I look behind at all those years.
Like a prisoner bound in chains,
I gave you my heart and you pulled on the reins.
Never asked that much from you.
Just in return wanted your love, too.
Was that too much to ask, to take?
I've suffered the fall and my heart's ache.
Now I'm left with a hallow soul.
My heart has paid your priceless toll.
What more could you want from my empty being?
What more could you take without me seeing?
How bad we were when we were together.
Now I go on without you forever.
