Welcome
New site, new look
Welcome to the 'New Look' website. I got a little tired of the way the old one looked, not to mention that I am still having problems trying to 'transfer' all my pages to my own 'Official' site. Yahoo doesn't seem to have any Human Beings that work for them and I have had more than my fair share of auto-replies that do sweet FA in trying to help me.
I have kept a few things and changed a few others, stole a few ideas from other sites that I liked, hope you like it to.
I've still kept it relatively simple though and straightforward, stayed away from 'bells & whistles' so to speak. I think its easier to navigate around and simpler to remember where things are.

Bad News
For those that I haven't whinged to already, March was a very bad time for me.
I had my laptop stolen and with it 4 years of my life. Photos, Poems, Stories, everything that I had recorded in one form or another, gone.
"What about a backup?" I hear you ask, well, I had stored some files on floppy disk and thank God for the website otherwise it would have been a total catastrophe. But still I lost about 20-30 poems un-accounted for and about 10 or so short stories, I'm not even going to mention how many I had 'in the works' so to speak.
C'est la vie..

More Bad News
I ruptured my Achilles Tendon back in early May.
Very painful, wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
I now have to wear special Orthopaedic boots with a 'lift' of about 5cm so that the tear can heal itself. The other choice was an operation and a cast for 3 weeks. So needless to say, I have not been able to play Badminton, Volleyball or do anything else remotely cardio-vascular for the last 4 weeks and won't be able to for the next 6-10 weeks...

Poems
Whats news?
I've been playing with artwork for some of my poems. Some of the 'newer' poems I have written in the last year or so are accompanied by photos or artwork that I have created to give the poem more 'depth'. I have'nt done this with each and every poem, but just certain ones that seem to call out for more to them than just simple lines of verse on a page.
If you have any ideas or comments, then write me and let me know about them.

Short Stories
Finally!
Here they are! I've had a lot of my friends write to me and tell me that they kept visiting the old site and reading the same old thing. Well, it's been long enough, here are 3 short stories to whet your appetite.

You
I first got the idea for this story in Glebe Point Rd in Sydney, sitting in a cafe called 'The Craven' which is right next door to the 'Valhalla Cinema' where my sister used to work.
I would come here after work and visit my sister, grabbing a coffee and/or bite to eat whilst waiting for her to come and meet me. This cafe would attract some regulars from all walks of life, so I got more than my fair share of ideas for poems and short stories here.
If you are ever in Sydney, head over and have yourself a great cafe latte and focaccia for me..
You

Perdition
The daily grind and monotony of my life
Perdition"

She was gone
You wake up one day to find that you miss something or someone that you never knew you took for granted, it's always when they leave that you realise just how much they meant to you...
She was gone

Yangon, Myanmar (Burma)
Yangon is Myanmar's largest and capital city. Burma is perhaps the least Westernized country in Southeast Asia, closed off to the outside world until 1962, with only limited access to foriegners today. The country is rich, however, with ancient religious culture, as evidenced throughout the city and country by thousands of Buddhist temples.
