What
is the Hokey Cokey?

| In
general, there is no right or wrong way to dress for hokey cokey -
as long as you feel nice and comfortable, it's OK. Men usually wear
long trousers and women wear skirts or trousers. It is important to
buy a pair
of dance shoes once you'vew become addicted, or you could cause permanent
damage to your feet. Contrary to popular belief, we don't dance in
6ft long clown shoes! For beginners, trainers are OK but should be clean and non marking - we've had "tyre track" problems in the past with people using shoes that leave behind rubber. Ballroom shoes are also fine, but a good pair of thick leather soles will pay dividends - there are many good dance shops in London. |
