Here, there will be much news and notes. Or none, depending on what news/noteworthy events are taking place. Mostly it'll be about poetry or readings or cool things that I think you should check out around Huntsvegas. Or of course the cool things that I think you should avoid at all costs, which, now that I think about it, could include me reading poetry. Depends on the day, I tell you.

The Suggested Poetry of Trevor Daniels: Here it is, the poetry that you've undoubtedly come here to see. Have fun with it. All poems copyright me, bitches.

WEBSITE NEWS
March 18: Ok, I lied about finishing the site in any kind of soonish manner. But now that it's spring break, I think that I will finish it. Yay for me. (Trevor_Collin13@hotmail.com)

NEWS
March 18: Ok, the poetry reading at Kenny's didn't actually happen, because nobody showed up and the one other guy on the list cancelled. It was disappointing, but I ended up drinking some coffee with some friends/family, so it wasn't totally worthless. I don't think I am going to be reading for a while, all holed up in my cave and all. But I did get my Academy of American Poets membership card today. Fuck yeah.

SOME THINGS ABOUT TREVOR

Name: Trevor C. Daniels (the C. is for Collin)

Accepted Nicknames: Trevtor, Ginger Snap (Ginger for short), TR (under no circumstances should you call me Trev)

D.O.B.: August 05, 1986 (I'm a Leo, rawrr!)

Location: Madison, AL

Schoolin': I'm currently enrolled at UAH as a Philosophy major. I plan to expand that to doubling in English, minoring in German and Creative Writing.

Senior Quote: "I must confess, I hate time." - Vladimir Nabokov

Political Affiliation: I'm usually somewhat Liberal, but if you're familiar with the Blue Dogs, I'm down with them. I've even got a pin. But I work for Cramer, so that explains that.

Occupation: I'm a runner downtown for a little firm called Main Street Strategies. It's a bad-ass job.

Musical Interests: Where to begin? I grew up listening to grunge (Veruca Salt, Vova Nova, Pearl Jam, Nirvana), pop (Prince, various other MTV 80s bands), and The Doors...in my younger years I was into the classic rock (Zepplin, Kansas, ZZ Top, Bob Seger, Foreigner, Bob Dylan, not hair metal, though)...and then for some reason I went punk? (Dead Kennedys, Bad Religion, Anti-Flag, Minor Threat, The Dead Milkmen, The Minutemen, Velvet Underground, Talking Heads) and then I went Emo/Ska (Saves the Day, Dashboard, The Get Up Kids, American Football, Hot Rod Circuit, Armor for Sleep, Reel Big Fish, Mustard Plug, )...after that the next natural step was Indie (Death Cab, Bright Eyes, At the Drive-In, Jeff Buckley, Owen, The Weakerthans, Sleater-Kinney, Cursive, Pilot to Gunner, Jets to Brazil, The Books, The Notwist, The Decemberists, Dismemberment Plan, and I could go on)

Literary Interests (Novels): Reading is very important to me. I've been doing it just as long as the music thing. I started out at 8 on Jack London and Michael Chriton. I've since moved on...except, I haven't read Moby Dick. I'll read pretty much anything, though I like to concentrate on the 19th-20th century, pre post-modernism mostly...since it scares me, usually.

Literary Interests (Poetry): I have to separate the two, because Poetry is a very different thing to me...as you will probably see on this POETRY website. I'm relatively new to the poetry thing, probably only about 5 or 6 years into it. I like Hardy, Cummings, Eliot, Marvell, Rilke, Goethe, Donne, Rumi, Pound, Stein, Shelley, Tennyson's ok...Carroll is awesome.

Yeah, that's about it. You can ask me to tell you my life story or something. I suppose it's sort of interesting. If you've got any questions or anything: trevor_collin13@hotmail.com or danielt@webmail.uah.edu
