Thomas L. Moore
(Gator)
Tom wrote the Poem "Knee Bones" one night
when it was difficult for him to get on his knees
to pray. Tom had pins in his knees and the joints
were deteriorating. This poem became his
testimony of when God Saved His Soul.
He also put a tune to this poem which he sang to
many of his friends.

Knee Bones
By Thomas L. Moore
Knee bones, knee bones, knee bones down
Knee bones, knee
bones on the ground.
Tell now I this
story of my stop to pray
When on a day
our Lord showed me only earthen clay
My spirit was
shaped as it shiver and shown
To the One and
only Master as knelt I all alone
Knee bones,
Knee bones, Knee bones down
Grounded are these
knees, knees right down on the ground
Knee bones, knee
bones, knee bones down
Knee bones, knee
bones on the holy ground
Slid this soul
against Gods dirt my clay
A molded man made
of me on he that day
Shaven was this
fossil from a relic unknown
As he shared his
celestial presence when bent he mine bone
Knee bones,
knee bones, knee bones down
Grounded are these
knees, knees right down on the ground
Knee bones, knee
bones, knee bones down
Grounded are these
knees where my soul was then found
Arose I from
his alter fathers earth as is
With a gentle
hand and loving eyes and one last kiss
Never more ashamed
could ones soul ever be
As washed he dirt
from foot while raised he me from knees
Knee bones,
knee bones, knee bones down
Grounded are these
knees, knees right down on the ground
Knee bones, knee
bones whence then found
Knee bones, risen
from holiest of grounds
Morals to this
story should ask you me alone
Would certainly
be about the most sacred of bones
The heart holds
all glory of the Master of he
If entering to
His presence you'd best to lend a knee
Knee bones,
knee bones, knee bones down
Knee bones, knee
bones all around
Knee bones, knee
bones, knee bones down
Knee bones, knee
bones on the ground!
