In My Arms
The day I hold you in my arms,
My needs shall cease to arise and froth;
The hunger for my desires will fall prostrated at your feet;
In your ardor will I find comfort, in my weakened state of euphoria.
The day I hold you in my arms,
The ocean of my longing shall break the tides;
Relenting in the throws of totality, will my soul dispose,
My passion having reached not a finality, but a life anew.
The day I hold you in my arms,
My world a new life will respire,
And lead me to your waters of abandon,
To be cleansed of the fears beheld by my being.
The day I hold you in my arms,
Forever, never to let go and relinquish our past,
To make the wayward dragon of deceit breathe its last,
In contempt of my misguided heart.
The day I hold you in my arms,
I will once more pledge my love for Thee,
With the free will of my heart, with my heart, from my heart,
I will bow to your grace, resolved in innocence.
As for now, I can say in obeisance most deserving,
To my Love, my Princess, my Soul, and my Angel,
Your Argus will I forever be . . .
The day I hold you in my arms.
