My Love at X-mas

The mood now turned to being set
For this, the time of love
With crimson reds and forest greens
And our hearts dancing in dulcet steps

The frozen warmth enrapturing our souls
Pockets empty for the sake of hands entwined
Through dark, ancient skyscrapered valleys
Our path is made to our destiny foretold

Hearing the silence settled hither
No breaks in its whispered purpose
Lest our lips meet embraced, though cold
And a cherished euphoria prostrates at our feet

A destination met within our woods
A forest cabin of trees born straight and true
Where love awaits beside a blaze set to flush
To soothe our most primitive of desires

The knowing glance of things to come
The harmonious nudge of nestled cheeks
The sit, the stare, the caressing approach,
The blissful peace these tempestuous moments elucidate

Mine eyes behold your beauty still
In an unwavering light most settling
With the effervescent radiance of such pure virtue
I am overtaken, yet composed

As bodies laid bare to bath in fire's kindling aglow
Proclivities awaken to set upon at nightfall
Sainted gestures lead to bedouin exchanges
And hearts bid away their outside hold

Sentiments flow from selfless minds
And trickle down through tears of ecstasy
This time hath seen its ceremonious commencements
That gratify our ways of salubrious physicals

An end it is at not
For perpetuity is the illuminant
To which our eyes are opened and made to see
A love burgeoning not just for this season

My lonely heart appealed,
Our sanctimonious coalition aside,
As it is for me, my only wish this year
Is for your arms about me tight.
