Thanks to Love
In a time of ashen despondency,
When grief upholds its bitter hands,
I am taken to a field of nourishment,
Where my soul is cleansed in your radiance.
I shower in your soothing tears,
Drawn from deep within your virtuous ardor.
Your effluence of love and commitment,
Takes hold of my heart,
And guides me willingly through your corridors of passion.
Your chaste ways do place my mind at your door,
In all its dignity, I awaken to your touch.
Our love carries with it the promise of a future
Before only professed in dreams.
You are in my thoughts unbounded
By the daily turmoil that threatens my world of hope.
I rough the wild waters with you at my side,
No currents will consume me
And drown my essence now reborn.
To thank is but mere words,
But, to love is all encompassing in an intensity
Fashioned in our naos of desire, and giving.
You are my love, my life, and my strength.
You are the bearer of all that is precious in my world.
If not for you my existence would fold
In the crevice of misguided fortunes bestowed upon the weak.
And there would I suffer undenied.
No disenchantment do I see
Looking through a glass porthole cast in your image.
My reasoning becoming fluid
And easing my steps that carry my love to your garden of virtues.
My adoration is relentless,
My pride radiates for all to see.
Your acceptance of my love for you
Draws me closer to my serenity.
These words I write can but only trace an outline
Of my hearts true feelings which are only for you.
For the one I love unconditionally.
For the one I will one day marry,
And share the rest of my life.
