My World
I recognize a place
A far-off distant land
Trees lining a perimeter
Of cascading dreams
And poetic musical notations
An engine by design
To soothe the sullen hearted
And ease the pressures of reality
By entering a mystical fortification
Where the agility of listless limbs
Coalesce into frantic lovemaking
It is here where existence ends
And life begins . . .
It is here where I shall never go
Nor feel its effects
For I am not one for this land
I am only one for my world
My world of ultimate reality
If I could but enter another . . .
No, for I am only for my world
