Felt in Absorption

A promise of a future
the newly aroused font in silence
filling to its extreme
beneficial to all who imbibe
and quench their hearts
for the good of the self

In sequence of a state
not of mind but
of soul repressed and cold
and finalizing the bitter blows
leaving the conscience
free to its new will

The will of freedom
the repelling of the forces
that bound and kept
that hurled distress
and let sleep the inner light
now defined as virtuous

In the mind the workings
of compressed fears
obliterated in fortune
none to be held
nor none of promise
to be held in contempt

It is here that I consume
the intoxicating euphoric breast
thought once known
but a falsehood instead
now knowing the fight
is more appreciable

Its inherent effect
felt through words and actions
close and juxtaposed
friendships and Love alike
hide no admirations
for they are inherent in my world
