In Pursuit
Impending thoughts of shift loom large,
My vicissitude rapidly vexing my demeanor to extremes.
Time has cast its nefarious shadow,
And a glacial chill now ensconces my heart.
Were I true to my reservations of many years gone,
This instance would be set apart, and a forging long since assumed.
To now undo what's been acquired,
My guilt first to put aside.
To nullify and hurt goes against my grain,
But, in the end, this anxiety will be understood.
I appeal to the future to forgive and be kind,
To a weary essence whose fortune is now just a vision.
Let it not be for naught, these trials I pursue,
And may I find my nirvana, where passion awaits untold.
