Sharon
Olds is, without a doubt, one of the most important poets of our time. She
has written many volumes of poetry: Satan Says, The Gold Cell, The
Father, The Well Spring, The Dead and the Living, and her most recent,
Blood, Tin, Straw. She is chair of the creative writing department at
New York University.
