Something Needs To Give
It's been so long since we've been in sync
Something needs to be done don't you think?
I don't know about you but something needs to give
Because a happy life is what I want to live
It's ironic that we're stuck in the same groove
I've been feeling like I'm not able to move
Everything has fallen down on top of me
I just can't seem to set myself free
I think for now time apart is what we need
But don't think I'm doing this out of greed
We can't keep going on this way, it isn't fair
Not if in life we want to get anywhere
I have no idea how all of this will end
But I can no longer sit here and pretend
That things will change between you and I
Because there's only so much time can buy
And time for the both of us is running out
We can't keep living in a world of doubt
We got to see if we're holding each other back
Because it's been so long since we've been on track
So I think for now time apart is what we need
But don't think I'm doing this out of greed
We can't keep going on this way it isn't fair
Not if in life we want to get anywhere.
