When heartaches come along the way

We must find it in our heart every day

Not to blame God for our heavy load

But to see we have only came to a bend in the road

And even than we should still praise His name

For His love through it all remains the same

So it is important for us to keep close to our heart

In life heartaches are just a small part

Of what tries to destroy the bond with God we share

And what prevents us from drawing close to Him in prayer

So before we allow heartaches to interfere

In a love that is pure and sincere

We must do our part to feel God’s touch

For He is needed in our life so much

And even though we think it is not true

There isn’t anything for us He will not do

And that is something worth holding on to

When we cannot get past things that occur

And our vision is nothing but a blur

So we need to remind ourselves He is there

Ever so ready to show us how much He does care

About what our hearts are going through

And the last thing He wants or expects us to do

Is try to get through the heartaches on our own

For He promises us with Him we are never alone

And He is the strength we need in order to grow

And a brighter tomorrow to us He will show

And when it is He our hearts begin to doubt

It makes impossible for us to find our way out

So we need to reach out to Him more

For it is His love we are living for.
