| A lone reed standing strong in the soil of our corrupt society. We as God's creation strive to reach such stature, but seldom conquer this disposition. In the eye of adversity we frequently bow and conform with manmade positions. Our failures magnified not in the eye of the creator but simply in the minds of self-appointed drones. Shocking more is our selfish nature and unwavering carelessness and judgmental attitudes toward our own kind. We may share the same plot of soil, we may differ in our views, but why must we continue the cycle of hatred handed down by our forefathers? Love thy neighbor, look it up, it is scribed in the holiest of books. We were given an amazing ability to think, and to decision, don't let this fall by the waist side. History, though compelling to most is, in the simplest terms, a study of lies. Let us be the first to accept this and to overpower this, with understanding, compassion, and love. We as a society are the only ones who can change society. We cannot depend on a higher power, or a righteous person. Change your opinions, your feelings, and your views of other. Only when we each do this can we live truly free. |
