Edmundo Tejada-Aramayo/ Majors : Government and Philosophy/ Status : Transfer student/ //I was raised in two British schools which have taught me the principles , which now I consider them as the pillars of my way of living , these principles are : discipline, honesty, punctuality, devotion towards every life activity and respect. I’ve been learning English since I was 4 years old , being 99% of my primary and high school classes in English and I practiced it also with my sisters at home. I have taken several international exams and my experience in working in an international environment is quite extensive and complex. I was raised in an international environment , in the sense that in my school , the majority of my peers were from different nationalities. My interests rely on academics above all , but I enjoy sharing experiences and some valuable time with other people , that is why I intend to study Government and for a graduate degree , I plan to enter to law school . I have some past college experience , since I studied economics for a year and a half in a Peruvian university , there I received a very good technical instruction , having accomplished good grades in courses like management, mathematics, philosophy, languages, and economics// Past Education : 1. Sir Clement Markham College March 1989- December 1995/ Awards : 2nd in my class in the year 1993 , and 20 merit diplomas in 5 years ( being 20 the maximum number of diplomas which one student can obtain in 5 years). In the class annual ranking I was always placed in the top 20 of my whole promotion (which actually was conformed by 130 students)/ 1. Sir Clement Markham College March 1996- December 1998/ 2. Sir Isaac Newton College March 1999-December 2000/ Awards: I.G.C.S.E Mathematics diploma in the extended level (issued by the University of Cambridge-UK), 4 merit badges , a second place in an art contest held by the British schools of Lima (BSL) , leader of the debating team which took part in several debates also against other British schools of the BSL( having won a lot of debates and obtained several merit diplomas in this area). The International Baccalaureate bilingual diploma with a total score of 28 points . 3rd place in the Newton College Arts and Poetry festival in the essay category./ 1. Universidad Del Pacifico-Lima-PERU January 2001- July 2002/ Awards : total GPA of 3.2 , by which I was included in the top 30 out of the entire Economics student body (which will be like 1000 students)./ International exams taken : I.G.C.S.E Mathemaics –extended level- C/ International Baccalaureate bilingual diploma : Overall score : 28 (out of 42) /Higher level : /English A2 (American syllabus) : 6 /Spanish A1 : 5 /History (European syllabus) : 6 /Standard level : /Economics : 5 /Mathematics : 4 /Physics : 2 ***** being the maximum score 7 and the minimum 0. /Toefl Computer based exam–issued by the ETS –USA 267 /SAT –issued by the ETS –USA 1200 (only 1 try)/ /Main interests : Debating , Writing, reading ( novels, magazines, newspapers, poems,etc), board games, practicing sports ( swimming, soccer , rugby / Irish football), business and experiencing new cultures./ /Languages : English and Spanish , otherwise the basic French , and little Italian and Portuguese./
