Edna St Vincent Millay

May the Fruit Never Be Plucked

Millay's involvement in the the Sacco-Vanzetti case (Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti, Italian-born anarchists and labor agitators, who had been convicted in 1921 of the 1920 murder of two payroll guards in South Braintree, Massachusetts). Millay wrote and published Justice Denied in Massachusetts (New York Times, 22 Aug. 1927).
