Thomas Richard Little, 79, of Pricetown, died Wednesday (Aug. 30, 2006) at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born June 10, 1927, at Enterprise, a son of the late Thomas Newton and Sarah Victoria Richards Little. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Elizabeth Jane Little; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Matthew and Donna Little of Akron, Ohio, and William Bradford and Zoa Little of Paden City; three daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Vickie and Raymond Teagarden of Rymer, Lisa Anne and Henry Higginbotham of Pricetown, and Karen Sue and Byron Higginbotham of Shinnston; granddaughter, Patricia Jenkins; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Cumbridge, who were both raised in the Little home; two daughters, Rebecca and Barbara of Roswell, N.M.; grandchildren, Joshua Little, April Johnson, Raymond Lee Teagarden, Christopher and Michele Teagarden, Amanda “Mandy” Little, Stephanie Higginbotham, Beth Ann Shaw, Glenna Hendershot, Sarah “Bubba” Higginbotham, and Lauren, Braelynn, and Ashton Little; three step-grandchildren, Byron Jr., Jason, and Beverly Higginbotham; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Little was preceded in death by one son, Richard Lee Little; four brothers, Lee Forest, James Ellsworth, Leslie and Roy Little Jr.; and three sisters, Wanda Watson, Ellen Wright, and Freda Weishem. Tom was a U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He was employed at various coal mines in the area. He was employed by Hammond Detective Agency as a private detective and security guard. He was also a salesman for C.W. Stickley. He had played in a country music band and enjoyed music very much. He enjoyed rabbit hunting, fishing, and gardening. Tom was loved by everyone who met him.
