Those Days Are Gone

I remember when we'd take long walks hand in hand
Sometimes stopping to write love messages in the sand
You would hold me, touch me, and kiss me in the park
And those long distance phone calls after dark
Listening to your sweet voice saying, "I love you!"
Which I hope would change to, "I do"
But those days are gone
Seconds seemed like hours when we were apart
The love I had for you could fill all lovers' hearts
When I first saw you, you looked like a work of art
You walked up to start talking to me - it was such a surprise
I looked and saw your heart
in the shadow of your eyes
But those days are gone
Our love was like that of Romeo and Juliet
Growing stronger each second from the moment we met
Our long distance romance was very deep
Thinking of you at nights, I could not sleep
Love letters, pictures and drawings we would send
To ensure our love would never end
But those days are gone
My love for you I could not hide
I could've been your eternal bride
I would've waited until the time was right
Never would I have given you up without a fight
But someone else you did meet
According to you I could not compete
But those days are gone
I looked and saw your love
in the shadow of your heart
which, ofcourse, like a dove
we slowly flew apart
It disappeared, my love for you
when she was the one to say, "I do"
But those days are gone
It seems a hort time ago, I think
When my eyes finally began to blink
and i realized that awkward remorse
of that sad, changing course
Tears slowly ran down
over my cheek and across my frown
but those days are gone
the metal was raised
and my mind was completely dazed
a trigger was pulled
and our relationship annulled
my life has come to an end
but my love for you will always ascend
and . . . those days are gone . . .
