My Writing Personality

I am a free verse writer, a dreamer with a vision--passionate and sensitive with my heart exposed to the world. Poetry, art, film, literature, and music are my passions, and writing is my release—a most liberating experience that has the naturalistic ability to evoke every raw emotion of the human condition. Listening to a cd, lighting candles,watching a movie, walking in the rain, or catching the expression on someone’s face can provide sufficient spark to inspire my soul. When I write, I embody the soul, heart, and mind, and become intertwined and embraced in the moment of life. The trick to becoming a good writer is to dismiss the negativity around you. Your thoughts are worthy of being expressed and poetry has the power to draw you more closer to where you are coming from. As an English teacher, I believe that we are ALL writers at heart--all capable of writing down the BONES OF OUR SOUL. Write as a way to RELEASE and reveal the truth beneath your endless layers of skin until you reach the core of your open soul. It is your burning inner desire that uncovers and radiates the feelings within—the hidden and secret fears that are locked away, desperate to breathe. I live to love, to feel, to breathe,and embrace every genuine emotion that comes into my life.
