Grains of Sand - The Poetry of Dan Henson

THE REVELATION
You turned your back
You walked away
You left me to drown in a sea of loneliness
I reached out for you, but no one was there
You replaced love with hate,
conversation with silence,
happiness with scorn
Once friendly stares, became hate filled glares
And the others, you turned them against me as well

I was tired of hiding
Tired of living a lie
Tired of not measuring up to what everyone
thought i should be
I am what i am, and i'm proud of it

Friendships lost
Lines drawn in the sand
All because of The Revelation
