From a brother arose a hero
who went bravely forth to fight.
He places himself in danger's way
to fight for what is right.

Behind he leaves his childhood days,
and days of just another teen.
Those were times, he had no worries
of a war still yet unseen.

Conflicts arose and my brother knew then
that he must leave these days behind.
He left proud parents worried at home
to perform his mission assigned.

Parents, brothers and sisters at home
watched as the inevitable war began.
Tears filled their eyes as they realized
their dear son and brother was in that land.

And my brother was transformed into a hero
like a phoenix from the ashes of flame.
Now everyone hereafter will remember,
from my brother a hero came.
