Love Is Heroin

(Written during fall of 2005)

 

Without your knowledge

It’s injected into your veins

You start feeling it greatly

Nothing is the same

You feel warm and happy & thank G-d above

Don’t be too alarmed you just fell in love

 

As your love wears off

You want more and more

Can’t find enough money

Can’t buy it in stores

But with one single kiss

You’re back on your high

Wishing more to live

Wishing not to die

 

As love’s taken away

You begin to ache

You cry out to G-d

“Stop for heavens sake”

“I can’t take no more”

“This is just too much”

No one answers though

G-d is out of touch

 

As your pain wears off

You thank G-d above

But the chances are

You’ll not forget love

You will love again

You will yearn and cry

What’s the reason though?

Try to find out why

 

It is all because

Love is Heroin

Takes you for a ride and gets you hooked again

Before you know it it will pain and thrill you

And if you don’t stop it it will probably kill you
