To talk about myself is something I both like and dislike to do.

I have worked in positions that have dealt with the public, so I like to meet people and to talk. I am also a shop-keeper who adores beautiful things and meeting and talking with different people keeps me busy. However, that doesn't always apply that I like to talk about me in the personal sense.

Where to start?!!!? Lets start with the basics...

My name is Charlene Carroll Sullivan. I live in Massachusetts with my wonderful wonderful husband, Michael, and our three weird, but enchanting feline 'roommates': Valentino, Casper and Tigger.

We live 10 minutes from the Crane Beach, 30 minutes from Salem, Massachusetts and two hours from the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

I have found the Northeast to be a place of inspiration and beauty. People come from all over the country to capture its rocky beaches and gorgeous ocean views via paintings, photography and writings. Many of them have come close to doing it, but no one has quite done it yet.

I have two especially great parents (who've celebrated more than 50 years of marriage. Their 50th Wedding Anniversary was on June 16th of 1998!) who have supported me emotionally (and sometimes financially) in whatever endeavors I have done. They have all my love, respect and gratitude.

I am their youngest and was born while my dad, who was in the Air Force for 26 years, was stationed in Tokyo, Japan.

My ancestors were Irish, as were my husband's, and Scottish on both sides of my family. On my father's side were the Carroll's and on my mother's side were the McCabe's. On my links page there are links to explore information about both clans. This influences a lot of my writing. You will see this during your stay here at the cauldron (check out the pictures we took on our May 2003 trip to Ireland that are on my husband's website. The link to it is located on my links page.).

I think you will see by my poems and short stories here at the Cauldron, that I am a romantic.

I use the written word to express whatever emotions, thoughts and spurts of inspiration that I am feeling or thinking of at the time.

I hope you enjoy what you see and will come back often.
