We went walking, Jess and me
on the old stone wall;
We went walking by the sea
to hear the Mermaids call.
By the green and salty sea
Jess and me would roam,
So we could see the Mermaids
All playing in the foam.
By the old stone wall one day,
where we used to hide,
A comb of Pearl and Amber
was floating on the tide.
And sometimes, in the morning mist,
or when the sun had set,
We heard the Mermaids calling,
I hear them calling yet!
