Goblin, in the garden,
by the Toadstool Ring,
Why do you wait patiently?
What is it you sing?
Why, when evening shadows
creep across the ground,
Why do you sing out to me
with your hollow sound?
"Leave your Mortal sisters,
leave your life of ease,
Come and live in Faerie,
See, I hold the keys!"
Quick as quick, some Iron bring!
So I might not hear him sing,
For, his eyes, so dark and wild
Show to me a Faerie's child!
