Because I wouldn't look for Love
Love came in search of me.
I thought I wouldn't walk the path
Of Domesticity.
But Love then took away my will,
And placed your hand in mine,
Then tied sweet love-knots in our hair,
And told the Sun to shine.
I saw I was a Dreamer, 'til
You came into my life,
That all I ever wanted was
To be your loving Wife.
For, ever since the day, my love,
That you were sent to me,
I've danced along the Shining Path
Of Domesticity.
