The Magic of Love

Forever Love

The night filled with light

From the stars and moon

Brightening the land

Of emerald green

Fairies play in the night

Where they can't be seen.

The lovers walked hand in hand

As the ghosts of the land

Whispered of the new love

And wondered the question of old.

Were the two meant to be?

Or did he not see

The desire in her to hear the words

That would speak to her heart

And not her head.

Come away and be my wife

And I'll care for you for my life

No words of love or desire

No expression of the fire

That burned between the two

Just a soft word or two.

She turned away with

Tears in her eyes

Thinking with a sigh.

His need was not hers

Now she could see

Love was only for her to give

But not for her to receive.

The fairies stopped their play

Listening to her weep

Shaking their heads

Know she did not hear

The words he said

Were what she would need

And the love would come

In years ahead and burrow deep

Until they two were as one

The stars grew dim

The moon hid his face

As the two parted and

Walked away

Neither knowing the love

They shared still lived

In the night if only

They could share

The other's heart

And find what they sought

A love as old as time

That kept the flowers growing

And let the moon go on shining.

Song of Love

In silence she wandered

A song trapped in her heart

But no words could she sing

Her voice stilled, tearing her apart.

The beautiful music locked away

Deep in her head

As if in a silver box with out a key

To set the songs free

A knight wounded and sick for home

Rode the forest alone.

Faint and weak and in great need

Never saw the beauty inside her heart

Only the caring to share her home

Til once more he was strong.

She took him in to care and mend

Until he was strong and could ride again.

As she cared for all his needs

He began to see

The beauty of her soul

And he swore he'd never let her go

He took her to his breast

Carrying her to a place of rest

Their love began to grow

The light shining from soul to soul.

The glory of their world

Freed the songs no one had ever heard

She sang of the love and joy

A love so strong

That forever they were joined

They wonder the world still

Hand in hand through the land

Only young lovers can tell

Where the two have been

For only true love can hear

The song of love that lingers near.
