How far can your adrenaline take you? Giving you all the strength you need to over come your foes, through a desperate fight for survival. For a moment, you are a lone in the world, everything is about you, and no one can stop you. Victory is only a few steps away, and your body floats through the air like trying to run underwater. Behind you is a path of destruction to the good or the bad, and everything will be all right. Claiming escape you eternally feel grateful to the power that allowed you to do so. No one matches your ability. But what happens when the road to victory takes a twist, and you find yourself face to face with two others exactly like you. They too have just experienced the thrill of unstoppable power, and defeated everyone in their way. The three of you never knew of the others’ equal capabilities. And now you meet at a crossroads, stuck there until it is revealed who has the true succeeding strength.
Three men stand at arm’s length away, alone in a damp, vacant room on the top floor of a warehouse. Six guns are raised; two in each pair of hands, and aimed at the heads of the stranger men. A constant battle to hold each other at bay has begun. Outside through the thick paint-peeled walls, sirens buzz back and forth. The cop, the thief and the murderer know well the nature of the two others with them. Ty broke the silence that had swarmed them since they discovered themselves all at one shocking moment.
“Well boys, looks like we’re kinda screwed.” He said grinning. No one spoke next for a while. Each man just stood like a scarecrow, not even wavering the pistols which were becoming sweaty metal handles. An uncomfortable urge to release the guns and itch one’s palms took place within the men.
“Can’t we just back away slowly. And each go out the doors we came in. We never gotta see each other again after that. Ya know.” Jerry said in a nervous tone.
“No deal. We end this here and now.” Artimus eyeballed Jerry as he spoke his decree.
“Agreed. This may turn out to be a fun day after all.” Chimed in Ty. Jerry looked into the faces of his two opponents and knew he wasn’t getting out of this situation unless the risk of a bullet blowing through his head was involved.
No one knew where to take the conversation from there. It isn’t easy to speak when there’s two guns pointed at your head. But when you do, it is usually the truth.
Down the street, the event, which had taken place earlier in the afternoon, was beginning to sprout a nasty aftermath. Firemen rushed into the gaping hole in the side of the local bank; the vault was on the inside. Money hungry folks swarmed the streets like a plague, running in glee, snatching the money that littered the streets as they stepped over the dead bodies of cops, burglars and innocent pedestrians. Cries of joy, shock and pain thrown into a blender would best describe the noise heard within a few blocks of the scene. The message was clear. Some men came like an army to the bank that day and fought to earn some life long doe. Police intercepted them before they could escape. The massive firefight that ensued will later become known as the most tragic crime ever to surface in the city. Nobody there was concerned with the three men responsible for the horrors they witnessed. Only the walls that surround the men will now observe their destiny.
